Westbound and down.
We stopped by a lake at St Arnaud on our way west. There were the usual posse of ducks working people over. But the jetty was the eels' turf and aint no one messin wid the eels.
Stop. Cherry time.
The next morning. This morning, we had a look at a fur seal collony just near Westport where we stayed.
I keep telling folks that Greymouth hasn't got anything going for it. How wrong was I?
$23 for a six beer tasting tray. I expected half glasses. How also wrong was I. Shannon's turn to drive.
A bridge that I also remember getting a photo of 12 years ago.
Road trip!!! Love it. Cool day of wildlife. Do those eels look hungry? Yeah, they look hungry......better count your toes Olivia.
ReplyDeleteThat seal looks like a young ‘un. Hopefully you get to see a few frolicking in some pools.
I do like myself a Monteiths (or 6???). Does Daddy have a favourite? Can he remember? Good to see even Greymouth has a few surprises left for you.
And how good were those cherries, Olivia? A couple of those might take care of that wobbly tooth for you?!
PS: Stop. Cherry time? Do, do do do....do-do, do-do.....
Yes. The original ale and I quite liked the golden lager.
DeleteOoooh......forgot to ask....did you feel the earthquake in Nelson last night???
ReplyDeleteDidn't feel a thing. I did wake up suddenly at 1am though. Not sure what time it was.
